This hotel is equal to 4 stars. Booked table at Pyramid, it's their onsite restaurant. Rooms are big with a heating system, pay television and a mini-fridge-bar.

It was easy walk to nasher sculpture center. Arts district deserves your attention. Everything exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and do recommend it to family.

The staff was mostly pleasant.
My reservations said parking included which it wasn't. Didn't make a big deal, just irritating.

Cleanness
For this price I expected breakfast included

Almost fell in slippery shower

Overall, we had an "only okay" stay at the Fairmont. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views of downtown Dallas from our 21st floor room, and from the pool on the terrace were pretty amazing. However, after paying a significant amount of money for a one night stay, we had several experiences that made us regret choosing to stay at the Fairmont to celebrate our anniversary. First, my husband called ahead to make sure a bottle of champagne was brought to our room for an anniversary surprise. They told him they had a complimentary anniversary package, (although they never said what it included) and said that they marked it down. When we got to the room, nothing. He ended up having to call the concierge a few hours later letting her know nothing had been delivered. They ended up bringing a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries a little later, but the surprise ruined and we were charged for the services. Second, the room was uncomfortably warm. The thermostat read 69.5° (the lowest it could be set) but there is no way it was that cool. The last little things that bothered me were the huge chunk of someone else's hair in the blow dryer, the terrible water pressure in the shower, and the condescending man working at the concierge desk who seemed put out to have to give us directions to dinner. My husband and I kept a positive attitude and enjoyed our time together, but we did so without much help from the Fairmont.

Over priced. No hot tub or spa. There was no casual dining options. Our AC broke during our first night there and the staff wasn't very helpful or accommodating.
-
We enjoyed the movie at the pool.
The hotel could have done a better job of keeping a large rowdy crowd at the pool under control. They were having A/C problems, so our room was just a little hot. (we chose to keep our higher room with a view vs a lower room with better air)
-
Loved the location and had a good time at the pool. Nice enough and the price seemed reasonable.
AC was not cold enough and I was accidentally charged for someone else's bar tab. Um, no thank you. Also, the surcharges on the pool bar were ridiculous. The valet cost was crazy, but we found a lot around the corner that was reasonable.
-
For the price of the room I was surprised that they charged for everything, ie internet, parking etc.

Rooms and bed were great, staff were excellent
Need a bar at the pool
